Description:
Sid Valley Tree Surgery and Landscapes has been looking after the regions trees since 1990. A fully qualified and insured arborist, the proprietor, Bruce Smith, offers fast and friendly free advice and quotations.

By making sure that his team – which includes expert climbers – has all the right equipment for the job. Bruce is justly proud of his firm’s reputation for completing each project quickly and neatly to BS3998 and removing all traces of their visit.

Their services include:
Formative pruning – taking control of the trees growth at an early stage in its development reducing the need for heavy pruning in the future.

Thinning – by selectively removing branches when the crown has become too thick and is blocking light from other plants by selectively removing excessive branches.

Crown reduction – removing height and reshaping. Typically used in leaning, improperly weighted trees and to protect utility lines.

Crown lifting – removal of branches at base of tree.

Pollarding – pruning the tree back to a set point, usually the trunk or a few feet from it.

Section felling – removal of large or heavy material from the tree and protecting surrounding features and structures such as greenhouses and roads by roping down the limbs safely.

Dead-wooding – removing the dead wood to prevent damage below and to the tree as a source of infection for pathogens.

Stump grinding – mechanical extraction of the stump. Requires minimum access width.

Shaping – we also maintain and take care of hedges and trees.

Planting – we can plant for you.

Recycling – we recycle all our waste and we use recycled materials whenever possible.

Seasoned, split hardwood logs – for sale at competitive prices.

Wood Chips – for sale at probably the lowest price in the area.
