The Longhouse, formerly a part of the Norman Lockyer Observatory, has been lovingly restored into a residential property and recently updated to provide the benefits of modern living. Surrounded by woodland, the Longhouse sits just below the top of Salcombe hill, with views across Sid Bay and Sidmouth town. A five minute level walk from the coast path makes it an ideal stopping point for ardent walkers. Just under a mile from the town centre and sea front puts it in easy touch with the town's facilities. The Longhouse is set in an acre of woodland providing quiet seclusion in beautiful surroundings.
Ample private off road parking available.
All rooms have en suite showers.
Tea/coffee making facilities, TV and DVD.
Aga cooked full English breakfast, cooked using fresh local produce.

Both double rooms are on ground level with easy access, have recently been fully refurbished and are gas centrally heated. Each has TV/DVD and full tea/coffee making facilities. A range of films are available.
Breakfast is served daily from 8 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. during the summer months you may like to take the option of enjoying breakfast in one of many seating areas around the garden. The gardens combine both formal and woodland in just over an acre of ground and is constantly a work in progress. For those enthusiasts all advice will be gratefully received.
