Sidmouth celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in style with lots of events spanning the bank holiday weekend. The celebrations were kicked off with Pete Allen's Jazz Band Ball on the 2nd at the gloriously restored Kennaway House, a perfect location for such an event. He also played in the Market Square for the Street party and also at the very successful Classic Car Show at Sidmouth Cricket Club.

On the Sunday Sidmouth's streets were filled with hundreds of people to enjoy the Street Party where tables were filled with food and drink in a sea of red, white and blue. Tables were sold out following the success of the Royal Wedding Street Party with people keen to make sure they could be part of the celebrations.
The weekend was rounded off with the very successful Classic Car Show at the Sidmouth Cricket Club. Enthusiasts from all over the country came to show their pride and joy whilst soaking up the atmosphere, fine food, drink and Sidmouth's beautiful charm the perfect end to a glorious weekend.
There are only 30 Tables left (out of 190) for the Street Party, 24 of which are on the Kennaway House Lawn.
160 were sold within one hour at the Anchor so a big thank you to everyone who helped, especially Derek, Edwina and her daughter Joanna and Grand-daughter Emily!
Tickets started selling at exactly 10am only 4 'free' tables having been allocated prior to that (2 for the Town Band and 2 as a thank you to the Anchor). With only 120 tables on sale last year it's looking to be a success!
It's a great start to the Jubilee Celebrations and the Jazz Band Ball tickets are selling well with only 140 on sale, being the capacity at Kennaway House, so best snap some up quickly!

Sidmouth is celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee in style. The Chamber of Commerce is leading the town in a series of events, culminating in a unique Classic Car Show to be held at our beautiful Cricket Ground overlooking the sea. This wonderful setting will provide the perfect backdrop for what we expect to be an impressive collection of classic vehicles from the past.
After the success of the Royal Wedding street party last August, the Chamber has planned one for Sunday June 3 from 4pm to 7pm.
2nd June - Kennaway House (Queens Jubilee Jazz Band Ball) 7.30pm onwards. .

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrates 60 years of the Queen’s reign. Celebrations will be held around an extended weekend in 2012 on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June. Many people will have a day off work or school to celebrate the bank holiday on June 5, 2012.
Here in Sidmouth there will be a great deal to celebrate including a the Jazz Band Ball on the 2nd of June at Kennaway House. There will be a street party bonanza to be held in recognition of the Queens Diamond Jubilee on the 3rd of June hosted by The Chamber Of Commerce from 4pm to 7pm. For the final day, Monday the 4th June the Sidmouth Cricket Club and Chamber Of Commerce will be hosting the Sidmouth Classic Car Show!
The celebrations will include a special pageant on the River Thames on Sunday 3 June when Queen Elizabeth II will lead a flotilla of a 1,000 boats in an event, to be organised by the Thames Diamond Jubilee Foundation.
In the lead up to the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend, numerous public events and exhibitions are expected to be held across London and the rest of the country in recognition of the 60 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
